As we age, our bodies produce fewer and fewer of certain substances. An example of such a substance is GABA, also known as gamma-aminobutyric acid. As we get older, we produce smaller and smaller amounts. Supplementation with GABA can provide a solution in these circumstances. GABA Plus contains 250 mg of pure absorbable GABA.
Lower dosage needed due to sublingual tablet
The method of supplementation is crucial for the absorption of GABA. A GABA tablet or capsule of 500 mg or more sounds promising, but the absorption of GABA in tablet or capsule form is frankly mediocre. Research shows that the structure of GABA is too large to pass through the intestinal wall. Even healthy intestines do not absorb the nutrient well. For GABA Plus, we therefore opted for a sublingual tablet. Due to the choice of a lozenge, a seemingly low dosage of 250 mg is already sufficient!
Direct and better absorption through sublingual tablet

Necessary cofactors for the conversion of GABA
GABA is formed from the amino acid L-glutamine. A process that does not occur without effort. For the conversion of glutamine to GABA, the body needs so-called cofactors. These activating nutrients ensure that glutamine can actually be converted into GABA. For this mutation, the body uses, among other things, thiamine (vitamin B1), magnesium, and l-taurine. Nutrients that are amply represented in the GABA formula. In addition to delivering an adequate dosage of GABA, this formula also supports the body's own GABA production!
