In the fight against head lice, regular combing is very important, both for checking for head lice and for removing head lice and nits. For checking, a fine-toothed or lice comb with plastic teeth is needed. The removal of head lice and nits should be done with a comb with metal teeth, the so-called nit comb.

Prioderm combines the lice and nit comb in one comb. Easily check for head lice with one comb AND directly remove any head lice and nits found!

Instructions for use
Combing is an essential part of a good head lice treatment. With the plastic teeth of the Prioderm Lice andnit comb, you can easily check for the presence of lice and nits. If lice and nits are found, remove them with the metal teeth of the Prioderm Lice and nit comb. Step 1: Check for lice and nits with the plastic teeth Use the plastic teeth of the Prioderm Lice and nit comb to check for lice and nits. It is recommended to perform this check weekly. Combing instructions Prioderm Lice and nit comb - plastic teeth:• Comb the hair strand by strand over a white sheet of paper, a white sheet, or a washbasin. If there are lice in the hair, you will not miss them when combing over such a light background.• Comb firmly over the head, as that is precisely where any lice are located. Pay particular attention to the hair behind the ears, on the crown, in the neck, and under the fringe.• Look closely for small specks of lice during combing. An adult louse is approximately 3 mm long and varies in color from sandy to almost black.• If lice come out of the hair during the check, rinse them away with water.• After each check, clean the comb thoroughly (e.g., rinse with hot water) to prevent the spread of head lice.An infestation is only present if you find lice or live nits. Live nits are stuck to the hair, just above the scalp. Nits that are more than 1-1.5 cm from the scalp are guaranteed to be empty or dead and therefore harmless. If there is an infestation, proceed to step 2. Have you not found any lice and/or nits? Continue to repeat this check weekly; that way, you will be on time for a head lice infestation. Step 2: Remove lice and nits with the metal teethRemoving nits can be a difficult task because nits are glued to the hair with a strong adhesive. Even if the nit is dead or hatched, the casing remains firmly attached to the hair. You can use Priolox Foam to dissolve the adhesive, making it easier to comb the nits out of the hair. With the double row of metal teeth of the Prioderm Lice and nit comb, you comb the lice and nits out of the hair.Combing instructions Prioderm Lice and nit comb - metal teeth:For 14 days, comb the hair daily with the metal teeth of the Prioderm Lice and nit comb. Proceed as follows:• First wash the hair with shampoo, rinse it, and towel-dry the hair.• Apply plenty of conditioner or Priolox Foam to the hair and DO NOT rinse it out. Use Priolox Foam to make combing easier and to loosen the nits from the hair.• With a normal (clean) comb or brush, comb the tangles out of the hair.• Comb the hair strand by strand from the scalp to the end of the strand with the metal teeth of the Lice and nit comb. Start at one ear and move, strand by strand, after each comb movement to the other ear.• Tip: for thin hair, you can slide a gauze pad between the teeth of the comb before combing. This gives you more grip on the nits. After combing, the comb can be easily cleaned by sliding the gauze pad off the comb.• During combing, regularly wipe the comb on a white paper napkin or tissue and check for lice. Flush any found lice down the toilet or sink.• Then rinse the conditioner or Priolox Foam out of the hair and clean the comb thoroughly.
