Brassicamix is a blend of Broccoli, Red Cabbage, and Kohlrabi or Turnip seeds (depending on availability) created by us. Sprouted brassicamix contains compounds (glucosinolates) that play a role in preventing cancer and cardiovascular diseases. We created this blend because different types of glucosinolates are found in various cruciferous vegetables.

Instructions
1. Place one to two tablespoons of seeds in a preserving jar and add plenty of lukewarm/warm water. [Any glass jar is suitable, provided it is large enough (min. 1½ litres) and the neck does not narrow (too much).]2. Secure a plastic or fibreglass screen mesh onto the jar with a sturdy (postal worker's) elastic band. Preferably do not use aluminium screen mesh as it is sometimes treated against insects.3. After the indicated soaking time¹, drain the water, rinse the seeds, and drain the water again.4. Place the jar tilted upside down at room temperature in a colander, rack, or tray so that excess water can drain off. [It is important that all water can drain off; the water clinging to the sprouts is sufficient to keep the germination process going. It is also important that the seeds/sprouts do not cover the entire mesh. For good results, sufficient air circulation is crucial. Therefore, after each rinse, spread the seeds/sprouts along the length of the jar.] Do not place the jar with seeds/sprouts on the heater or in direct sunlight!5. Rinse the seeds/sprouts ± 3 times a day for the indicated cultivation period², and then always place the jar tilted upside down.6. After the very last rinse*, allow the sprouts in the jar (tilted upside down) to dry and grow at room temperature for at least 18 hours before consuming and/or refrigerating them.* If desired, the last rinse can be replaced by a 'washing' action to remove husks from the sprouts:-Fill a basin or similar item to the brim with lukewarm/warm water.-Put the sprouts in it and 'wash' them loose.-Skim off the husks by 'waving' them over the edge of the basin.-Scoop the sprouts out of the water by hand and put them back in the jar.-Re-attach the mesh, place the jar tilted upside down, and let it dry and grow at room temperature for at least 18 hours.Store leftover sprouts chilled (max. 7°C) and sealed (not airtight).¹ Soaking time: ± 6 hours* Growing time: ± 4 days
