Grapefruit essential oil possesses rather mild therapeutic properties. Yet, it is an indispensable essential oil for synergistic uses. It is ideal as an air freshener, tonic, and as a pleasant fragrance to create a relaxing atmosphere in, for example, waiting rooms. Grapefruit scent has a calming effect, soothes the mind, and has a positive effect on mood. It is a fresh scent that leaves no one indifferent and blends very well with other citrus oils and respiratory oils. In tests conducted in nursing homes where citrus oils, including grapefruit essential oil, are regularly diffused, a greater
appetite and alertness.

Usage
Oral: 1 to 2 drops twice a day (71 to 134 mg/day).
To be taken diluted in a spoonful of honey or in a herbal infusion.
Skin: massage, bath: 2 to 5 drops per 10 ml vegetable oil.
Naturally contains linalool, d-limonene. Although the phototoxic components

General precautions:
1. Always respect the recommended dosage/dilution stated on the packaging.
2. Store essential oils out of the reach of children, in a cool place and in a tightly closed bottle!
3. Essential oils are flammable and volatile. Do not expose them to high temperatures!
4. Patients with epilepsy, asthma and heart conditions should only use essential oils in consultation with their GP.
5. Essential oils of thyme, oregano, clove, and wintergreen are irritating. Do not ingest undiluted, diffuse, or apply to the skin!

Precautions for internal use:
1. Certain essential oils are for external use only! This is always stated
very clearly stated on the packaging.
2. Not suitable for children under 12 years and pregnant or lactating women.
3. Never use undiluted. Use a carrier (honey, herbal infusion, etc.) for essential oil intake.
4. In case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of essential oil (from ½ ml), drink some edible vegetable oil and consult a Poison Control Center.
5. Continuous use of essential oils is not recommended.
Precautions for external use:
1. As a precaution, it is recommended not to use essential oils on children under 3 years of age or pregnant or lactating women. True lavender and Eucalyptus radiata are exceptions.
2. Never apply undiluted to the skin. Dilute in a vegetable oil, cream, gel, or shampoo, even for use in the bath! Some essential oils can be applied neat to the skin after consulting a healthcare professional.
3. Essential oils naturally contain components that can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals (e.g., citral, d-limonene, linalool, geraniol, citronnellol, etc.). These components are always listed on the packaging.
Before using an essential oil on your skin, it's wise to perform an allergy test. Dilute a drop of essential oil in 10 ml of vegetable oil and apply it to the inside of your elbow. If your skin doesn't feel red or itchy after 24 hours, you're not allergic.
4. All citrus essential oils are photosensitizing! Photosensitization results from an interaction between UV rays and a sensitizing substance. The skin becomes red and appears sunburned. Avoid exposure to UV rays for at least 12 hours after applying to the skin!
5. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, nose and mucous membranes! In case of accidental contact: immediately
'rinse' with vegetable oil.
