The build-up of limescale and calcium in coffee machines and other hot water appliances causes heating elements to use more energy, reducing efficiency and leading to premature failure. Furthermore, not using a coffee machine descaler can negatively impact the taste of coffee. These are sufficient reasons to regularly descale your equipment. The instructions for descaling vary greatly depending on the hot water appliance, and water hardness is also important for the effective removal of limescale and calcium.
Ingredients
Contains, among others: non-ionic surfactants <5%.
Use
The descaling method varies depending on the type of appliance. Descaling a coffee machine: 1. Dilute 50ml of HG descaler with half a liter of water and carefully pour the coffee machine descaler into the reservoir of the coffee machine. 2. Let the appliance run as if you were brewing coffee normally. 3. Pour the solution down the drain. If the appliance does not flow sufficiently, repeat the treatment with a new mixture of coffee machine descaler. 4. Finally, run the appliance three times with clean water to ensure no limescale residue or aftertaste remains. Descaling a kettle: 1. Dilute 50ml of HG descaler with half a liter of water and carefully pour it into the kettle. 2. Do not switch on the appliance, but let the liquid work cold for approximately 40 minutes. 3. Pour the solution down the drain. If the limescale has not been sufficiently removed, repeat the descaling treatment. 4. Finally, rinse the appliance thoroughly after treatment. 5. The kettle is now ready for use again. Descaling a washing machine; 1. Add the HG descaler to the detergent dispenser. Use 100ml in soft water areas and 200ml in hard water areas. 2. Start the shortest program at a temperature of 60°C. 3. Halfway through the program, switch off the appliance and wait for approximately 20 minutes to allow the washing machine descaler to work effectively. 4. After 20 minutes, let the appliance complete the program. 5. The washing machine is now ready for use again.
Warnings
Transport and store the bottle upright. Do not use in pod coffee machines or on acid-sensitive surfaces, such as aluminum, zinc, and enamel. Never use a descaling liquid, including HG descaler, for steam irons. For descaling espresso and pod coffee machines, use HG coffee machine descaler with citric acid. Limescale damages the heating element. Therefore, regularly descale your hot water appliances to prevent limescale from damaging your element. DANGER H314- Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. P101- If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. P102- Keep out of reach of children. P280- Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. P301+P330+P331- IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. DO NOT induce vomiting. P303+P361+P353- IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water [or shower].
