Secure a plastic or fiberglass screen mesh to the jar using a sturdy (postal worker's) elastic band. Preferably do not use aluminum screen mesh, as it is sometimes treated against insects.3. After the indicated soaking time¹, drain the water, rinse the seeds, and drain the water again.4. Place the jar diagonally upside down at room temperature in a colander, rack, or container so that excess water can drain off. [It is important that all water can drain off; the water remaining on the sprouts is sufficient to keep the sprouting process going. It is also important that the seeds\/sprouts do not cover the entire mesh. For good results, sufficient air circulation is crucial. Therefore, after each rinse, spread the seeds\/sprouts along the length of the jar.]Do not place the jar with seeds\/sprouts on the heater or in direct sunlight!5. Rinse the seeds\/sprouts approximately 3 times a day during the indicated growing period², and then always place the jar diagonally upside down.6.
